It’s time to tap into your extensive knowledge of the UK Foodservice industry…

This is a brand new position – a stand alone role based in the UK – within an established but growing Food Manufacturer which is already a market leader across Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland, with multiple production facilities and sales locations across the region.

The challenge for you is to build, implement and deliver the UK Sales strategy with a key focus on working with major Foodservice Wholesalers (Brakes, Bidfood etc) and Catering Companies to deliver clean label products into Education, Healthcare, Hotels, Pubs and Restaurant Groups.

EXPERIENCE ACROSS THESE CHANNELS IS ESSENTIAL.

As many kitchens are struggling with staff shortages, there is a requirement for constantly training new people, as well as an increasing pressure on efficiency, zero food waste, cost awareness and flexibility. This business is providing reliable solutions for those various demands.

They also address the rising request for nutritional consciousness and sustainability – offering access to a state-of-the-art food database with over 600 recipes and ready meal concepts to integrate into kitchen processes. All their recipes come with a nutrition and climate score, which is unique in the industry. Their concept manager further supports the development of individual customer solutions and picks up on trends and future concepts.

The challenge is a big one – so you’ll need a strong entrepreneurial spirit and you’ll be capable of challenging the status quo. The key will be the mix that you can bring to the role, in the sense that you’ll need to be both strategic in thinking and pragmatic in doing. You’ll be someone who doesn’t believe in industry fairytales and you’ll look for the “how” (answers), not the “but” (excuses). You’ll be open to try new ways of getting things done in close collaboration with your customers, business partners and colleagues at the European headquarters.

You know and understand the Foodservice market and its structures, the customer needs and perspectives as well as principles of how to build up a profitable business. You strive for the common goals but work independently. You have great industry experience, an exceptional network and you enjoy connecting to new people and business opportunities.

And – last but not least – you are a passioned Foodie who loves culinary experiences and acts based on facts and figures as well as ambitions. You enjoy traveling, meeting people all over the country and have all the skills and requirements (e.g., drivers’ license) to do so.

The Head of Sales UK position will be based anywhere in the UK. On offer is a salary range – according to qualification and experience – between £90,000 – £115,000, along with a company car/allowance, bonus, phone, laptop, pension as well as 25 holiday days.

Strong support from the company’s HQ – e.g., operations and marketing – will be provided.
