This is a branded food-to-go business that’s launched a range of delicious meal and snack options into a broad range of customers, with a very healthy pipeline of products in development.
With a turnover in the region of £5m, we’re expecting to see that double by the end of 2024. And with new launches into multiple supermarkets happening soon, in conjunction with a new factory with increased production capacity, there’s monumental possibilities here.
That’s why we’re looking for a Head of Sales. You’ll inherit a small team from day one, but this is a hands-on role in which you’ll manage a multi-channel account base. The first challenge can be seen in the paragraph above – the work that’ll stem from the mults launches will be no mean feat.
But if you’re up for that challenge, the longer term opportunity here is huge. If this company’s going to achieve its ambition of becoming a £100m brand, then this role will be absolutely pivotal to that, with the opportunity to recruit and develop a wider sales team under you.
Here’s what the ideal candidate will look like:
* Senior commercial experience in BOTH a food challenger brand AND a blue-chip branded FMCG business. Don’t have both? The challenger brand experience is the most important.
* Multi-channel account experience, including impressive growth of your account base. Don’t have multi-channel? Experience of at least 2 of the top 4 mults is essential.
* Experience as a Head of Sales, Sales Director or Controller. There’s no flexibility with this one, we can’t consider someone looking to take a step up.
