Managing Director
In just 5 years time, wouldn’t it be great to say that you took a brand from startup through to £30m?
The founder of this rapid growth challenger brand has been on an epic journey so far. Originally starting out by making a range of plant based beverages at home, their fridge quickly became rather too full for that to work anymore. Fast forward, and the business now produces and packs at scale at its own manufacturing facility in Lancashire, having gained listings in major national grocers along the way.
The brand is uniquely positioned to disrupt the traditional dairy and dairy alternative market with its fresh and eco-friendly offerings.
But now comes the really fun part: breaking out of start-up mode into a fully-fledged SME and beyond. Could you be the person with the brand building mindset and experience to guide this business through the challenges and opportunities of hyper growth?
They’ll be looking to you to develop a clear and bold vision to make the brand the leader in its category, implementing a strategic expansion into retail (including Top 4 grocery mults) and foodservice channels. Your innovative marketing strategy will help drive consumer awareness, loyalty and growth, with campaigns that reflect their disruptive brand positioning and deliver a strong ROI.
You’re a leader? Great. There’s a lean but dynamic team to mentor – we want them to feel a sense of ownership, fostering a collaborative, innovative and entrepreneurial culture. Then that team needs to be built out further.
The business – which is privately owned and totally bootstrapped – already has healthy profit margins. That’s something to maintain whilst delivering the ambitious growth.
Sound like something you can do? More importantly, does it excite you?
This will likely be suited to those that have previously worked in a senior commercial leadership position within the food and beverage sector. You’ll know what it takes to build a brand; to grow a team; to disrupt a category. Done it for a challenger brand? Even better.
Operational mindsets are welcome, but it’s really your sales and marketing prowess that needs to be tapped into here.
Based 2-3 days in the office in Lancashire, north west England, the package has been made as enticing as possible – expect around £100k base with 50% bonus and benefits.
All applicants will receive a response.
