We’re looking for a Technical Sales person for this international role, working with customers outside of France. With direct customer relationships, as well as distributor management, this is a position that will suit you if you love to travel – expect it to be 40-50% international travel, usually for a couple of days at a time. You’ll see some really different cultures and ways of working, outside of Europe.
Whilst your main focus is commercial and delivering projects to build sales, the structure of the business means that you’ll also be the “first responder” for technical queries too. You’ll be accompanied by a technical support expert when the projects get complicated from an R&D perspective, but you’ll manage the basics.
The successful applicant to this position will hold a degree in Food Science, Food Chemistry or another relevant discipline. You’ll have 5 years’ experience in the food ingredients industry, including at least 18 months’ in a commercial, customer facing role. Some experience as a Technologist would be beneficial before you made the move into Sales. You’ll speak French and English fluently and live in close proximity to a major airport to make international travel easy.
